Typisch JDB: de titel la Bourse is misleidend gezien we het gebouw helemaal niet te zien krijgen. Het is wel een beeld vanuit dat gebouw (in spiegelbeeld). JDB verkiest een beeld ("pandemodium") van een massa waarin gedomineerd door reclameboodschappen.



"De Bruycker's busy etching of the vicinity of the stock exchange, Bruxelles, Jour de Bourse de Bruxelles (Brussels, Stock Exchange Day, cat. no. 40) does not show the exchange building. While it is difficult to reconstruct, this image of 1930 appears to be a view from a window within the Bourse itself, with Mausstraat to the left, looking across Anspachlaan to Van Praetstraat. If this is correct then the image has been reversed in the process of etching. Despite his stated intentions, De Bruycker has preferred to turn his back on the enormous neoclassical stock exchange to depict the riot of advertising and the turmoil of the populace at this convergence of six streets. Unlike Ensor's somewhat analogous drawings preparatory to his Entry of Christ into Brussels the texts in this image do not offer access to a personal vision or subversive allegory, rather, they, and the frenetic activity around them, affirm a tangible and actual pandemonium.[97]"

“De Ronde van België (sinds 2013 Baloise Belgium Tour) is een meerdaagse wielerwedstrijd die jaarlijks in België wordt verreden. De wedstrijd werd voor het eerst in 1908 verreden en vervolgens, met uitzondering van de beide wereldoorlogen, jaarlijks tot en met 1981. Toen ondervond de ronde het nadeel van de Belgische wielercultuur waar de nadruk veel meer op de eendaagse wedstrijden lag. De ronde is de twintig jaar die volgden af en toe georganiseerd. Vanaf 2002 vond er weer jaarlijks een editie plaats. Met de invoering van de UCI ProTour in 2005 leek de ronde op te gaan in de Eneco Tour, maar ze bleef toch bestaan. Ze maakt sindsdien deel uit van het Europese continentale circuit.”
